A change in the air

Okay, I've finally made up my mind and change is definitely in the air. I've committed myself by accepting an offer to study financial mathematics at University of Heriot Watt and not renewing my contract with Singapore Polytechnic.

By September, I will be in Scotland for at least a year...let's see what happens after. However, it was not an easy decision. To use most of my life's savings, to not have a job to count on after I finish...I'm "gambling" everything I have on this. Can I really get a good job, competing with youngsters ten years younger? Should I not stay and advance my career instead?

Well, my father's advice was to leave it to God...do your best, what's in the Future, your livelihood, God will arrange. So here I am, preparing for another change in my life, putting my trust in God that He will see me through this.

Weird Sickness

Have you ever been sick but do not know how to diagnose your illness? Well, I've been sick since Thursday and only started to recover yesterday evening. Yet, the doctor had no real idea what is wrong even when I told him the symptoms:
1. Sore throat
2. Stomach cramps
3. Nausea
4. Aching body
5. Migraine/Tension headache
6. Diarrhea

It wasn't a viral infection, he said. So he just gave me muscle relaxant-cum-pain reliever for my cramps/aches/migraine, medicine for swelling and something for the diarrhea. Not that I ate most of the medicine...I really wish medicine wouldn't come in a pill form. Couldn't the medical industry think of other delivery system other than pills?

Oh, well...anyway, just want to blow off a little steam since I am finally feeling human again.

Peace.
